Finca Dos Ríos
Two waterfalls of different colours, side by side in one pool
Finca Dos Ríos is a family farm deep in the Toro Amarillo valley. A muddy trail with wooden steps takes about 45 minutes to a hanging bridge over the river, then the last climb to the farm gate. From there it is only 800 metres to the falls.
The trail passes a natural waterslide pool and the Colibrí waterfall before reaching the highlight: Dos Colores, two waterfalls with differently coloured water pouring down side by side and mixing in one pool. Cross a log just beyond to find a cave hidden behind a curtain of water.
Getting there
Drive to Bajos del Toro, best via Vara Blanca in a normal car. Park on the gravel road where the trail begins and walk in.
Local tips
Bring cash, quick-dry clothes and a change for afterwards. The farm's small soda serves a good lunch.
Travel lightly
Camping is allowed but pack out everything you bring in.
